This stuck-in-the-’80s guest bathroom
needed a total overhaul. Cabinets were salvaged, but all
fixtures and hardware pieces were changed, right down to
the door knob (now vintage-style crystal) and hinges. The
new Art Deco sink and retro-style faucet provide a clean
appearance, as do the Deco handles on the drawers and cabinet
doors. The mirror is now beveled and cut to reflect the
lines of the new sink. The sky-blue hue produces a calming
effect, while striped accents – hand towels and area
rug – pick up the graduated shades of blue created
by the light as the sun comes through the newly refined
window. The original lighting was replaced with low-voltage
recessed spots. |
